One on One Mentoring:
For Photographers

Mentoring with Karyn is a heart-centered photography intensive, aimed at helping those who want to shoot better in a human-to-human way.

Kind Words

The myth, the woman, the legend. Karyn is an amazing mentor, extremely knowledgeable and skilled in both photography and photo editing. She is exceptionally patient and understanding and can mentor anyone at any skill level. A truly amazing photographer and human being.

~ Alex T.

After taking one of Karyn's photography tutorial sessions I was immediately able to apply what she had taught me to improve the quality of my photos. She takes the time to explain how and when to use all of the different settings of the camera and I'm proud to say that I finally have the confidence to shoot in manual mode! She is a patient, informative, constructive and a kind teacher.

~ Kelli P.

Karyn’s tuition made learning photography seem achievable and her explanations made complex topics easy to understand. Each session she adapted the topics she covered to suit the needs, interest and experience level of the people present, always covering techniques that were practical and relevant, and her warmth and humour made the classes fun. I feel so much more confident taking photos now and I’ve been able to use the skills I learnt to promote my business on social media.

One on One Sessions

WHO is this for?

more about taking better photos and learning to lead a creative life. It’s for anyone who wants to learn how to take better photographs and have confidence when they pick up their camera. It’s for anyone who wants to learn how to listen to the quiet and observe, to be a better conscious-living heart-centered human being, so that you can connect with your subjects, your clients and your landscape better.

WHAT will we do?

The focus of these sessions is on the practicalities of what it means to be a photographer, what that looks like, feels like, sounds like. We will explore the concepts around what it means to be responsible for taking someone’s photograph.

For example, we will look at how to be subtle in your direction and not-so subtle when it is needed. We will cover the topics that we think are most important for your development, such as working with light, human-beings, ambience and how to continuously learn, learn, learn.

Is this right for you?

Wherever you are on your journey, all skills are welcome. We will work closely with you to acknowledge your strengths and where you can continue to improve. We encourage a safe space for you to stretch, learn, grow and fail forward.
